Recap of 2016

In a lot of pictures and a few words, 2016...

Shorty was so sad that ice skating was not as easy as it looked. She sat/lied on the ice for the hour we were there.

friends loaned us their "help the kid stay upright skating" tie down. Shorty enjoyed it a lot. Thinking we may take skating lessons in January.

Hiked a number of times in Dishman Hills Natural Area. It's wonderful any time of year.

Once when hiking, Kevin found an ATV hidden in the trees and covered w/ a tarp. Called the police, and we got to go back out to show the park ranger where it was. It was theirs and had been stolen a few months back. It was pretty beat up.

Making pizza, with olives and sauce only. The parts are better than the sum, in her opinion.

Though we prefer the sum.

Shorty spent some time flouring her room. Everything was covered in white.

Delicious (homemade) chocolate pie for Alodia's b-day.

Stuffing ALL the Easter eggs for hunt w/ friends.

Dressing up.

A dirt road in the neighborhood is not maintained. So by spring there are tons of potholes. They're fun for puddle jumping & riding bikes through; not so good on your car.

Kevin started building a Little Free Library. Used random furniture and wood we had around. Also, part of the neighbor's discarded fence.

Shorty helped paint it.

Finished!

Visited the fish hatchery. SOOO many fish!

They realized if you jiggled the feeder @ a certain point as you spun the dial around, you could get more food and your quarter back.

We have wonderful neighbors that like to play with Shorty.

A local church had a little fair. They brought in a petting zoo. Shorty wanted to bring all the animals home!

Emily Down is the best cat ever! These two love to play together.

Went camping just out of town. Shorty was thrilled. As soon as we got there, we needed a fire and marshmallows! Because that's what camping's all about, right?!

Hiking on an old dairy farm.

Tea party w/ friends is so much fun.

Kevin bought a 3d printer. All sorts of fun.

 Swimming lessons with daddy.

She turned 4. Or fifteen-five, if you ask her.

being a pony

Kick the soccer ball down the slide.

Lots of good friends to help us celebrate.

Shorty was a sheep for a song @ church.

Fall was beautiful

We often hit the farmer's market, then go play at the park. It's a wonderful combo!

The Chinese Lantern Festival came to town.

Shorty and Alodia went to Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks w/ gramma & auntie

Eating the last of the tomatoes we grew.

Visited friends in Seattle and went exploring. Next time, the Space Needle!

"We both needed lip gloss"

Celebrating Kevin's birthday with donuts

Our year was full of good times, family and friends. We're looking forward to more of that and some new adventures in 2017.
